Hillside Family of Agencies Receives Two Awards

Rochester, N.Y. – Hillside Family of Agencies is pleased to announce that the non-profit received two Signature Awards from the Plan Sponsor Council of America (PSCA) during its 64th Annual National Conference at The Mirage in Las Vegas. Hillside Family of Agencies received Gold in the Plan Design Changes category and Silver in the Conversation category.

The PSCA Signature Awards honor excellence in plan communication and education.  Hillside Family of Agencies was recognized for its strategy implementation and programs that delivered results, including more employees participating in plans and more employees increasing their deferral rates, helping them to better prepare for retirement.

The Plan Design Changes category involved announcing changes in Hillside Family of Agencies’ 403(b) plans provisions in a way that was easy for employees to understand, educational, and engaging. The communications explained how the changes benefited employees and why Hillside Family of Agencies chose to make them.

The Conversion category recognizes an organization that transitioned a 403(b) plans administrative and record keeping services from one vendor to another.  Hillside Family of Agencies involved a comprehensive campaign that addressed the many issues employees need to know regarding a new provider, such as deadlines, blackout periods, investment mapping, changing plan provisions, and new employee Internet- and telephone-based tools.

This year, the Signature Awards judges recognized 48 winners in 18 categories. A distinguished judging panel of business leaders and employee benefit communication experts chose the 2011 winners based on how companies design, manage, and provide defined contribution communication and investment education to plan participants. Signature Awards judges carefully review how effective the campaign was at achieving its goals.

The winners of the 2011 Signature Awards were celebrated at an evening reception and will also be featured in the 2011 Signature Awards Magazine, an annual publication that describes the details of the winning entries and their successful results. The Signature Awards Magazine is used by industry experts to increase the quality of defined contribution education and communication at hundreds of other plan sponsor companies.
