The Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge returns to get the weekend rolling with the Continental Tire 150 at The Glen. The Daytona Prototypes and the GT Class of the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series promise to provide constant on-track action during the featured Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen on Sunday, July 1.
During the race on June 30, the Weisberg’s Porsche race car will display the Hillside Family of Agencies and REDCOM logos. The Weisbergs have also invited a group of youth from Hillside Family of Agencies to attend the racing event at Watkins Glen as part of an organized field trip.
“We are thrilled to include Hillside’s logo on our race car, giving the youth who are attending the race a direct connection to the action on track,” said Dinah Gueldenpfennig Weisberg. “REDCOM is proud a proud long-term supporter of Hillside Family of Agencies and this high- profile race is an opportunity to increase exposure and awareness for a wonderful organization that has deep roots in our community. A big thank you to Scott Welliver of Welliver-McGuire/Glenora Vinyards as well as Michael Printup, president of Watkins Glen International for their support in helping us to make this happen.”
“We are so appreciative for the continued support from REDCOM and the Weisbergs – every year our youth look forward to spending a day at Watkins Glen watching the high-energy races,” said Tom Hildebrandt, president, Hillside Children’s Foundation at Hillside Family of Agencies. “Hillside Family of Agencies is celebrating a milestone anniversary this year and this exciting event adds to the organization’s celebration of helping the community for 175 years.”
