Hillside’s School-Based Clinical Services program at Morgan Middle School, a collaboration with Monroe #1 BOCES, offers a structured (6:1:1) educational program for students in grades 6-8 with emotional and mental health needs.
About this Program
In Hillside’s program, we work with families and their school districts to develop a customized individual plan for each student. We provide academic and social skills development; comprehensive psychiatric care; individual, group and family psychotherapy; instruction based on NYS Common Core learning standards; psychological evaluations and consultations; crisis intervention; case management; and behavior management.
Our multidisciplinary team includes special education teachers, master’s-prepared clinicians, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychologists, crisis intervention specialists, case managers, behavior specialists and specialized therapists as needed.
Parents are partners in every aspect of our program, from initial planning to regular follow-up meetings and at-home visits. The program’s success comes from working hand-in-hand with families: we are committed to keeping them involved in every aspect of their child’s care.
Eligibility
This program is open to eligible youth (grades 6-8) who are residents of Monroe County and who are referred by the Committee for Special Education (CSE) in their local school district.
