Hillside Family of Agencies announced today that Christopher Peterson will join the health, education and human-services organization as Chief Financial Officer. His new position takes effect Monday, July 22.

As CFO, Peterson will provide comprehensive fiscal analysis and oversight for Hillside, a multi-affiliate organization with budgeted operations of $138 million as of Fiscal Year 2020. A member of Hillside’s Chief Executive Team, he will play a lead role in charting the future and fiscal wellbeing of the 182-year-old family of agencies.

Peterson brings to Hillside nearly 25 years of experience in financial leadership and fiscal acumen, including 12 years as a member of the Finance team of Rochester Regional Health and the former Unity Health System. As Vice President of Finance, he managed RRH’s general accounting, reporting, payroll, grants, foundation, audit and treasury functions. Prior to joining Unity Health in 2007, he worked for MVP Health Care and for a medical system in his home state of Indiana.

Peterson holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Indianapolis and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University. He is a board member of the Urban League of Rochester and an adjunct professor at SUNY Brockport. He lives in Webster, NY.
