Augustin Melendez to transition to Chief HROD Officer position; Paul Perrotto, Chief Financial
and Strategic Development Officer, announces retirement effective June 30

ROCHESTER, NY — Hillside Family of Agencies, one of the largest child-and-family human services organizations in the United States, has announced key changes to its executive leadership team:

Augustin Melendez, a member of Hillside’s leadership team since 2013, will transition from his role as President of Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection (HW-SC) to the role of Chief Human Resources and Organizational Development (HROD) Officer. Melendez, formerly a veteran human-resources executive at Eastman Kodak Company and Paychex, has been serving as interim Chief HROD Officer since last fall. He will continue to oversee HW-SC operations until a successor is named.

“Augie’s considerable human-resources experience makes him the ideal leader of our HROD efforts at Hillside,” said Dennis Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hillside Family of Agencies. “At the same time, the new HW-SC leader will have big shoes to fill, as the extraordinary outcomes of Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection—and its proven value to the communities we serve—are due in no small part to Augie’s guidance and commitment.”

Paul Perrotto, Hillside’s Chief Financial Officer, has announced his retirement following 21 years with HFA and a prior 24 years in financial leadership positions in the healthcare field. Perrotto, who also currently serves as Hillside’s Strategic Development Officer, will leave Hillside effective June 30. A search has begun for his successor.

“Paul’s dedication and accomplishments during his HFA tenure have made him an invaluable member of our leadership team,” Richardson said. “As much as we wish him happiness in his well-earned retirement, he will be truly missed by all of us at Hillside, as well as our strategic community partners who have valued his collaborative insights for many years.”
