Many children in communities served by Hillside are in need of a caring, supportive foster family—and Hillside provides a variety of ways in which committed families can help. Two one-hour sessions in September will provide real-time information about the many opportunities to become a Hillside foster parent.

The online sessions will take place Tuesday, September 1, from 12:00 to 1:00pm and from 5:30 to 6:30pm. No advance registration is required; to attend, simply visit https://zoom.us/j/5852567519.

Foster parents provide a loving environment for children from newborn to 21 years, helping them learn important life skills while permanent placements are sought. Hillside supports a wide array of full- and part-time foster parenting options for interested families—and even the opportunity to become a respite foster parent, who provides dependable support to parents and caregivers by welcoming a child into their home one or two weekends per month.

Marcie and Brad Prinzi recently shared their experiences providing foster care for young children awaiting reunification with their biological families. “There are always unknowns when a child enters our home, but we’re committed to being fierce advocates for them, providing steady love and a family willing to walk alongside them for as long as they need it,” Marcie said.
