The newest member of Hillside’s executive leadership team is a 15-year agency veteran with broad experience serving youth and families. Marsha Whitley, who most recently served in the role of Director of Foster Care and the Hillside Institute of Family Connections™, has been promoted to Executive Director of Developmental Opportunities Services.

In her new executive position, Whitley will oversee Hillside’s Individualized Residential Alternative group homes, serving youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the agency’s Monroe and Western regions.

Whitley has extensive experience working collaboratively with families in support of youth in care. She joined Hillside in 2009 as a Clinician before taking on progressive leadership positions, including leading teams dedicated to serving youth in the I/DD space in Hillside’s residential treatment programs.

Additional responsibilities have included chairing the Hillside Women of Color affinity group and Employee Engagement Council. In 2019, she earned the Hillside Chair’s Award for her exemplary service to youth and families.

“Marsha is an excellent choice for this executive role,” said Maria Cristalli, Hillside President & CEO. “She is a tireless champion of Hillside’s staff, and her commitment to supporting the needs of youth and families is second to none.”
