Hillside’s Family Opportunity Center (FOC) will hold a community resource fair on Saturday, August 3, from 10am to 1pm at the Rochester FOC location: 1 Mustard Street, Rochester 14609.
This event will be free and open to the community at large, and feature providers from Hillside and other community agencies to answer questions about vital services that support family physical and mental health. Arts and crafts and other family-friendly activities are also planned, along with entertainment throughout the event.
Funded by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services, the Family Opportunity Center is a drop-in program that provides a broad range of interventional on-site and community-based resources for children and families. Services address issues related to parenting skills development; access to mental health supports, including an on-site clinician; and referrals to community-based daycare, housing, and employment resources.
Hillside’s FOC sites were launched in Rochester earlier this year, and last fall at 215 Wyoming Street, Syracuse 13204. Regular FOC hours at both sites are Tuesdays through Fridays, 11am to 5pm, and from 5pm to 7pm Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment. For more information, call 585-256-7500.
