This morning, Hillside leaders engaged in an annual tradition: a three-hour ceremony honoring employees with milestone service anniversaries. In 2025, 173 employees marked 5, 10, 15, 20 years and more of service, with six earning 40-year pins for their longstanding commitment to Hillside’s mission. The 173 honorees have contributed a cumulative total of 2,420 year of service.

“How many CEOs get to think, ‘Look at the commitment of our staff and the impact they’ve made for decades?’” said Maria Cristalli, Hillside President & CEO, at the outset of the ceremony. “These people could work anywhere, but they chose to work at Hillside. We’re so grateful.”

During the virtual ceremony, executive leaders called out employees individually, and many honorees spoke on their anniversaries.

“I look forward to many more years of working here,” said Roxanne Boyer, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner celebrating her 30-year anniversary.

Behavioral Support Supervisor Bernard Watson, recognized for 40 years of service, called his time at Hillside to date “a personal accomplishment that I’ll never forget.”

Lori Lippa, a 30-year honoree who works today as a Manager of Budget and Financial Analytics, noted all the programs and people she’s collaborated with her during time at Hillside. “It is so enjoyable to know we’re all part of such a great mission. It’s been a fantastic experience and career.”

Program Manager Gina Palazzo, another 30-year celebrant, agreed: “It really has been my privilege to work here at Hillside and learn from so many people. I look forward to the continued work.”
