With KeyBank as the 2023 Special Santa Presenting Sponsor, Hillside is embarking on its annual holiday giving program to bring new toys and gift donations to local children and families who are served through its programs.
“For many children who benefit from this long-standing program, these may be the only holiday gifts they receive this year,” said Maria Cristalli, Hillside President and Chief Executive Officer, who gratefully acknowledged KeyBank and Silver Sponsor The Bonadio Group.
Last year, community donations made it possible for Hillside to distribute 7,000 gifts to more than 3,000 children and families served by Hillside. For the 2023 Special Santa season running November 1 through December 11, community members can participate in a variety of ways:
- Drop off new, unwrapped toys and gifts from a list of the most frequently requested items at dozens of KeyBank locations and other partner sites throughout Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo and the Southern Tier.
- Purchase specifically requested gifts online through Hillside’s Amazon Gift List site.
- Make a convenient online donation of cash, which will be used to buy presents.
- Consider hosting a gift giving party or organizing a neighborhood drive to collect presents that can be donated to the Special Santa program.
Full details on how to participate this season can be found on the Special Santa HQ page.
“The most popular items on the kids’ wish lists include footballs, basketballs, LEGOs, craft kits, trucks and art supplies to name a few,” said Diana Traugot, Hillside’s Special Santa program coordinator. “Our toddlers really enjoy electronic learning and musical toys, and Squishmallows are always a hit.”
“On behalf of everyone at KeyBank, we are absolutely thrilled to once again support Hillside’s Special Santa program,” said Phil Muscato, KeyBank’s Rochester Market President. “This important program brings so much joy to children and families across the Rochester area. We encourage everyone to join us in investing in Hillside and families in our community.”
